Manicure Monday - Magnetic

Happy Monday!! Hope your weekend was good. The hubby & I spent Saturday in Nashville hanging out with some friends. We had a blast checking out the Tennessee State Museum and Yazoo Brewery...well I took one for the team and used my sense of smell instead of taste but still had fun ;-) For this week's No-Chip Manicure, I used the Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color from my latest Influenster box.

Let me tell you how much I love this polish!!! Call me easily impressed but I thought this was super neat. I didn't quite know what to expect but the application was very simple. Shake and apply 2 coats, hold the magnet cap over the wet nail for 10 seconds and viola...add a top coat and you're done! What I did notice was the longer you held the cap over the nail, the darker the design got. I had couple nails that could have used a bit more magnetic action but I was pleased for my first try. 

BTW, this was the fastest drying manicure I've done in a long time - another great plus! I believe the retail price is $9.99 so I'm going to check this out in a few different colors.

Influenster Summer Beauty VoxBox 2012

Happy Friday!! Who else is glad we made it to the end of the workweek?? 

I received my fourth Influenster VoxBox earlier this month and I'm just now getting around to talking about it. It was one of those days where you open the mail, briefly check it out, throw it to the side and then forget about. Totally unlike me because I normally do an unboxing video...not this time. I happened to come across it sitting on my dining room table this morning (yeah it's a mess) and decided that today was the day I'd share my goodies with you!

I have to say that this particular box is full of great products but I am looking forward to trying the Sally Hansen Magnetic polish and hand creme the most! Who knows, maybe you'll see the results Monday ;-)

Manicure Monday - Reverso

Happy Monday Folks!! How was your weekend?? Mine was good and laid back, just the way I like it ;-) For this week's No-Chip Manicure, I did something that I normally don't do...wear an all white nail. I can't tell you the last time I rocked this look. I'm actually feeling it though - different! 

Circus by Andrea's Choice in Reverso

I used a "new to me" line of polish from Andrea's Choice (most popular from YouTube). This cute little package came in my July MyGlam Bag so I tried it out and was very impressed with the application. The polish went on super smooth without a streak in sight; something that's very uncommon for white (at least in my experience).

First Trimester Recap

Happy Friday!! I'm so glad the weekend is here ;-) Not that I have any special plans but the thought of sleeping in tomorrow is quite nice!

I've been thinking about this whole prego journey and how I'm going to cover it but I haven't decided just yet. I know that I want to do vlogs but I'm not sure I want them to be weekly. I've also seen a few bloggers answer a series of questions about cravings, symptoms, weight gain, etc; which may be something I try as well. In the meantime, I decided to make a video recapping the first trimester to see what kind of response I get. Check it out...

Weird & Wonderful Wednesday

What up peeps?! It's hump day...YAY!! How's your week been so far?

* Yeah so the wind was not my friend while trying to take these pictures on Sunday. Can you tell??
* Alarm clocks bother me. No matter how long I've been sleep, I'm still never ready for it to go off!
* Dry skin - I have to go overboard with the lotion these days. What is up with that?!
* My headaches finally went away but are now starting to make a comeback and I'm not sure why :-(

* 2 more weeks until we find out the sex of the baby (praying for a girl)!!
* 2.5 more weeks until my mom and little sister come hang out for the weekend. We don't get visitors around these parts so I'm pretty excited ;-)
* Peanut butter, sliced banana and honey on toasted bread...amazeballs! Don't believe me, try it.
* The return of my energy, yes! Back to the gym I go.

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

If you're already a YouTube subscriber, then you probably seen the video I posted yesterday but I wanted to make sure I got all bases covered with my blog family too. Even though a lot of you started to speculate with the help of my inconsistent posts and Weird & Wonderful Wednesday rants. 

I am 15 weeks today and the hubby & I are super excited!! I've been waiting for this moment to happen for years I tell you, years. Now it's finally here...YAY!! If you're interested in seeing how we broke the news on camera, check out the video below. It was during my birthday weekend in Nashville, so I have to warn you that it's quite a lengthy vlog but still exciting. Since it was my first time, I wanted to use similar colors in case it didn't come out right. It actually turned out great but now I wish I would have used more contrasting colors so that you can actually see the pattern. Overall, I have to say that I am pleased with the final look and can't wait to try this again!

Fridays are for floral wedges, don't you think?! I found these shoes at Target a couple months ago and fell in love with them. Not only do they go with any/everything but they are super comfy and not to mention, cute as heck!! I wore this ensemble to our company anniversary party/carnival and received plenty of compliments. Needless to say, I felt cute that day ;-) Don't you just love when that happens?!

BTW, Happy Friday!!!! Although the mid week holiday messed me up, I'm very happy to see the weekend. I have a block party and UFC party to attend tomorrow so I'm looking forward to some fun.

Birthday Weekend Recap

Hey friends! Missed you yesterday - I was too busy enjoying my weekend to fool with my nails. I'll be back with a manicure for you next week though ;-) How was your weekend? Mine turned out to be perfect so I thought I'd do a little photo recap. I must warn you that the majority of the pics will be of food, don't judge me!

Birthday lunch at Noodles & Co. That mac & cheese was so on point! Cookie was an added bonus. 

Shopping after lunch. I need this in my life and now I'm kicking myself for not getting it! 

Babe bought his first pair of sandals, then said he felt like an old man, lol. 

BBQ chicken pizza w/ sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms & gouda - Strawberry cheesecake! 

Sunday breakfast at my favorite place. Best sweet potato pancakes EVER!! 

That was my weekend in a nutshell - very simple and laid back but lots of fun.  I actually didn't take as many pictures as I thought. Guess that means I had a really good time.  Hope you enjoy the mid week holiday tomorrow ;-) See you Thursday!
