Manicure Monday – Gradient Sunset

Hey there! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Unfortunately it’s back to the workplace 🙁 Anyway, for this week’s No-Chip Manicure I decided to try my hand at the gradient trend. After carefully studying The Nailasaurus: Gradient Tutorial, I took the plunge!

Essie 858 Meet Me At Sunset

CoverGirl Q084 Wild Rose

Since it was my first time, I wanted to use similar colors in case it didn’t come out right. It actually turned out great but now I wish I would have used more contrasting colors so that you can actually see the pattern. Overall, I have to say that I am pleased with the final look and can’t wait to try this again!

Have you ever experimented with gradient nails? Any tips you can share??

XOXO,

Wow! I love the simple ombre look. It's a nice change from the dramatic ones I've been seeing.

These are so pretty! Looking like a fruity cocktail over there lady! lol I did some ombre nails with different shades of blue and even with Seche Vite they lasted like 3 days. Love the look but it just wasn't enough polish to hold up the way I did it.

Mmm, a fruity cocktail sounds good! I'm currently on day 3 and going strong…hopefully I can make it to at least 5 days. It took some time to get this done and I want to enjoy it 😉
