Today is November 30, 2011. In seven months on June 30, 2012 I will be 30.
While at the gym today, I made the decision that I’m tired of living on a diet, tired of trying the next fad hoping that I’ll get the desired results, tired of pills, shakes, etc…over it. I’m finally ready to lose this weight for good and move on. With that being said, I will be at my goal weight by 6/30/12 – age 30. It’s no coincidence that my goal is exactly 30lbs lighter than my current. For the last decade or so, I’ve struggled with the number on the scale. As much as I wanted to forget about it by putting my focus on measurements and the fit of my clothing, I just couldn’t. It all came right back to that number.
I don’t want to spend the next decade dealing with the same struggle, so it’s time to make some changes. Starting today…well I already pretty much started back when I began my WW journey (for the second time) last month. I started with a goal but not a date in mind because I just wanted to take my time and lose the weight in a healthy manner. I still feel the same way but I think that 30lbs is very attainable in the time I’m allowing myself. If I stay consistent in losing 2lbs/week, I can actually reach my goal earlier.
